About Terry Nelson
Terry Nelson, a Black American raised on the South Side of Chicago, brings a lifetime of firsthand experience and insight into the injustices of America's criminal justice system. A product of Chicago's public school system, Irving has pursued higher education extensively, earning four college degrees, including one with a double major. His professional background spans two primary careers: teaching and government civilian employment. Currently, he serves as an independent contract investigator for the U.S. Government.
With decades of experience working within the criminal justice system, Terry has investigated criminal activity, reviewed countless criminal records, and witnessed the systemic discrimination faced by Black and minority communities. His personal encounters with on-the-job discrimination and the disproportionate treatment of people of color within the legal system have fueled his passion for exposing the deep flaws within the system.
Terry Nelson’s inspiration for writing this book stems from a desire to raise awareness about the systemic bias embedded in America's criminal justice system. His mission is clear: to reveal the truth and advocate for meaningful reform. Drawing from his experiences, Irving is a living testament to the fact that the system is broken. His goal is to inspire real change by showing that justice must be blind—true to its original purpose—and the system must be overhauled for fairness to prevail.
